Drums, drums everywhere. I don't know where or when this pic was taken.
Wail on, Skydog!
Sure looks like Bryon Ga. (second Atlanta pop festival).

Posted by: Carl in Atlanta at March 19, 2008 01:28 PMThird - the first was in Piedmont Park and lightly attended, the second was at AIR in Hampton and was a big deal. So, Byron was the third.
Byron was my first thought, too.
Somewhere I have photos from the AIR event - I guess I should get to scanning. And I still have those Elizabeth Reed Napier gravesite photos to post.

Posted by: David at March 19, 2008 04:40 PMI can just hear Cross To Bear blaring straight up
to heaven...through the clouds..past the moon, echoing off the horizons.
Dickie McNeer died today..or last night, I guess.
Posted by: csason at March 19, 2008 10:00 PMHey cool pic, Donnah.
Yea it looks like a big festival to me. And by looking at Dickey, it has to be one of the later years, so third APF would fit.
Man I'd just wish I'd been born in the right decade... my time should have been the 60s and early 70s... taste in cars and music set that tone... and I'd love to see/hear Duane and the band live, in person.
Back then I wouldnt have had any distractions to limit my time on guitar, so I could attain my dream of excelling as a guitarist. =/ But I get wrapped up in other things and dont play as much as I ought to.
Well I'll just keep at it over this extensive period of time.
Hope to one day be...
Wailin like our Skydog,
Ben
My time should have been either b. 1845 or b. 1930, Ben...oh well.
Hey wanna see a really cool site where you can hear the entire ABB show at Fillmore on the radio ?
