A favorite of mine from the Ronnie Hawkins sessions in Muscle Shoals.
Wail on, Skydog!
Some nice playing in the link above, and one "Go, Skydog!" from Ronnie.
Posted by floridacracker at April 2, 2008 06:26 PMIt's a fine Skydog picture, Donnah..I really like it when Ronnie calls him Skydog in the song..Duane has such a thoughtful look on his face, he just has to be working out a pretty badass riff here..
Posted by: csason at April 2, 2008 10:47 PMThanks for all the great Duane pics, Donnah. Your collection is amazing, and your generosity is most very Southern.

Posted by: rememberingDuane at April 4, 2008 12:58 PMconcerning the ABB at Audubon park:
The Allman Brothers played a free concert Sunday in Audubon Park, May 17, 1970
on their 2nd visit to New Orleans. Jaimoe was there , but didn't play. A local musician
sat in on congas.
The ABB played earlier, Friday and Saturday nights at the Warehouse
where the 'Ides of March' was on the bill also.
