A Vanity Of Blog Posts

Some late-breaking collective noun news from the West Coast:

Scientists listening to underwater microphones have detected an unusual swarm of earthquakes off central Oregon, something that often happens before a volcanic eruption — except there are no volcanoes in the area.

It lacks the whimsy of my own self-coined "doorjamb," but there you have it. A swarm of earthquakes. Jot it down.

Interesting name for the interloping plate...'Juan De Fuca'. Why did I not already assume the punk that is gumming up the works would be named Juan ?

Maybe we will have a new island out there soon..and they can finish the Lost episodes, once and for all.

Just as long as it's not a 'Carlos'. I have fond memories of him...

I watched one ep of "Lost" a few years back. It didn't catch me. HBO has a habit of coming up with series that enthrall me though. "Oz," "Rome," "The Wire" - great stuff.

It is such a hassle watching series..it is much better to wait till it's all released on DVD, but somehow we got swallowed up in this..

Well, you won't know if you wanna watch the whole thing if you don't watch part of it.
I'm such a junkie for "Rome." They stopped making it after the second season because it's so expensive. We both love reading about ancient Rome. If you've never read Robert Graves' "I, Claudius" and "Claudius the God," get them -- you won't be sorry.
