And a fine badass repost it is indeed..

The great thing about Duane Allman, bless his skinny
fingers..is that a person can listen to him over and over and over and still not get tired of him, unlike
so many others..

As for the photos..if you've seen one picture of
Mick Jagger, that's enough in my book.

Thank you Donnah...

Amen, csason! I've been listening to Fillmore 'Mountain Jam' while driving to jobs here in Southern Illinois. I crank it up, roll down the windows and try to innoculate people with the Allman power. I never tire of it.

How could anyone tire of such a masterful musician? I doubt if any of us will live long enough to experience another "Duane Allman"!

He had the whole package, chrisma, charm, dedication and love of his fellow man. Not too mention he had the chops of a "master"! Wail on skydog, wail on!

The world really needs your music in these stressful times! I often get lost in the majesty of his chosen notes and runs. Dickie, man, Dickie way back then was a barn burner too!

I wish I could re-live the 70s! I'd move to Macon next door to the Allman Brothers Band at the Big House and sit on he porch and listen to them picking out sounds late at night!

Heck, maybe on a good night, Duane would have showed me a lick or two! And you know its true, youth is wasted on the young. I think you have to reach about 50 or older to realize the depth of that saying!

Wail on Skydog, into our lonely night, Wail on Skydog forever! You are loved and missed by the mortals that live here on this tiny planet they call earth.

I saw Duane after a show in 1971. He was standing next to a limo with his aviators on. He glowed like he had an aura. I can listen to "Mountain Jam" over and over and still tear up at the Duane parts.
Donnah, thank you for these weekly photos. I sure do appreciate them.
