You're right, Donnah. A trip to JC Penney's is long overdue. I'll meet y'all down there tomorrow, my faithful retainer Paco will drive me, won't you, Paco? *offers dimpled smile and fluttering lashes*

My Dearest Donnah and Starla D.,

It would be my distinct honor, indeed privilege, to escort you to Jaa-Say-Pannay for some polyester and power blues.

Your Servant,

Paco Malo

One look at this pic, and I realize how costly rockstardom can be.. that or the photographer
must've been hot.

Thanks Donnah !!

Owen:

I see you wrapped your head around that. Hasta la vista!

Paco

Sometimes I have to take my head in and have it re-covered. It gets a little worn from wrapping my head around everything, Paco...

Posted by: csason at August 14, 2008 10:16 AM

little too much editing there..

Posted by: csason at August 14, 2008 10:17 AM

Who knows? I may even learn to enjoy clothes-shopping!

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 14, 2008 11:12 AM

This is not one of my favorites. You can tell how uncomfortable he is.....it might be the location as much as his Penny's look. This picture just reminded me of those naru jackets. I hated those things! This must have been shortly after his return from L.A. when he was used to being told what to wear. This look is almost as bad as the striped pants him and baby bro used to share. His hair looks good here though. Anyhoo...thank you Donnah. Everybody get back to planning your shopping trip. Have fun :)!

Wail on, Skydog!

It's almost like he knows, or suspects, that he doesn't exactly look at his best. Being dissatisfied with your outfit or hairdo can make the outfit or hairdo look wrong ina picture, even if it was all right to start with. I don't know just how it works, but it does, some of my senior pictures have that quality to them.
Aren't you comign with us, Cindy? I'll even sit between Paco and Donnah for part of the way? :)

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 14, 2008 03:13 PM

Heh heh. The radio is just now playing "Dress You Up in My Love." How very apt. :)

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 14, 2008 09:16 PM

LOL.

*launches into her best Madonna impersonation*
Fashion problems,
That's what all the girls say.
Far too thin, from all those breakfast beans
All your shirts, abominations, trust me!
But I'll find something that we'll really like...
Gonna dress you up in my love
(All over, all over)
Gonna dress you up in my love
(and fill out that body)
Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love
(All over your body)
And eat some second helpings!
Feel the sweet embrace
Of boot-cut denim,
Just tight enough to show off most of you.
A solid shirt will go with Levi's britches.
That was painless, now you're lookin, fine!
*repeat chorus)

*takes bow*
That was my first foray into song parody. It's not as easy as you'd think.

Yo, Owen, will you explain to these ladies he is musician and not a fashion model for the Penney's catalogue? ;-D

Peace,

Paco

P.S. Free Tibet

Posted by: Paco Malo at August 15, 2008 12:30 AM

Outstanding, Starla.

Posted by: Donnah at August 15, 2008 06:39 AM

I love free stuff, but I'd rather not have any Free Tibet, I wouldn't know whee to put it. How bout a gift card for Jacques Pay-Nay instead? :)

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 15, 2008 10:42 AM

Ya'll are funnee! Starla, I can just hear some sweet slide in the chorus. See Paco....I do know he was the best damn guitar player to ever live! Viva la Skydog....Viva la Pannay's!!

Wail on, Skydog! (Thank you Peachy Queeen!)

Good Lord, Paco..kind of weird isn't it...??

Duane's up there sitting on the rock, quietly thinking about how many Bursts and Triumphs he can get a hold of..and these wimmin are trying to wrap him in some Bon-Jovi duds..

Wonder what he was wearing when he got his mushroom
tat..?? Maybe it was that boofont chamile something or other midriff elastic deally...

Posted by: csason at August 15, 2008 11:04 AM

Bbbwwwaaahhh! Duane in a midriff elastic deally.....now I can see baby bro doing something stupid like that.....but not DA. Unless maybe it was tie dyed ;)! OK, OK us wimmin will try (remember I said try) to only talk about geetars, amps, and all the thing-a-ma-jigs it takes to make a Gibson cry. Ya'll going to get me in trouble here at work. My co-workers keep wondering why I am spitting coffee all over my desk and laughing like a crazy person.

Posted by: cindy at August 15, 2008 11:17 AM

If Donnah finds a pic of DA in a chenille elastic midriff whatchama-doo-jobby, and posts it, I will go on some kind of rampage, and it will not be pretty.
But, I do know what it takes to make a Gibson cry. I made Amanda Gibson cry in the fourth grade. I took the Tasti-Kakes out of her lunch bag and she never knew it was me, I even helped her hunt for them all around the coat rack and her desk. She never suspected I was the one, but she did cry. (She cried over everything that didn't go her way anyhow.) Oh, of course now, nearly twenty years later, I feel terrible about it, but the fact remains: I know how to make a Gibson cry!

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 15, 2008 11:34 AM

Amanda Gibson.. Amanda Gibson...

nah.. no way.

Anyway, all this bodice blubbering is just
shameful regarding someone named 'Skydog' for pete's
sake...
I mean, do you girls really think that guys sit around in places with names like Frank's Place, or
the Hid-a-way, smelling like burnt 40 wt. and
Bridgestones, discussing what looks good posing on a rock ??

You see..I KNOW what those impish smiles meant, Duane always seems to wear during these photo sessions he found himself in...

Posted by: csason at August 15, 2008 12:43 PM

I bet you do KNOW csason! You are correct Sir, about the smile.....he knew it would make us all wonder! Now I know that you guys would be discussing what looks good on a rock if the gender was different and the midriff wearer were named "Skydogette". And if she were to make a Sunburst Gibson (not Amanda, Starla) cry and sing like a bird, the discussion would go on for days ;)....tell me I'm wrong.

Posted by: cindy at August 15, 2008 01:01 PM

The "impish smile" is because he knows darn well the effect he has on us gals, and that ear-gasms are only the start of it! :)

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 15, 2008 01:22 PM

Well, if it were Skydogette, the fellows would form a panel to discuss whether or not her tits were up to par. Somewhere along the line they might mention something about guitar playing.

All y'all are killing me today. Amanda Gibson...Amanda Gibson...

Posted by: Donnah at August 15, 2008 01:26 PM

God, I sure *hope* Amanda doesn't find out via this fine website just who it was that took her Tasti-Kakes lo those many years ago! Hey, Mandy, if you're reading this.. I AM SORRY!

Posted by: Starla Darling at August 15, 2008 01:33 PM

Well Donnah, I wasn't gonna say it...but the discussion would absolutly be about tits and ass with nary a guitar to be mentioned. Posing on a rock or not. And they want to say something about us heading to J.C. Pennys? Another great Wednesday/Thursday Skydog thought provoking discussion. You rock Donnah!

Wail on Skydog.....we didn't mean any disrespect.

Posted by: cindy at August 15, 2008 01:36 PM

Jerry Wexler.......Rest in Peace.....

Posted by: Mike The Bike at August 15, 2008 02:14 PM

Damn Mike, You killed it....

Well.. You girls are probably right, until I can get some damn help here, you are.

Nobody could ever understand what that one gal, what's her name, was singing about anyway..but it was fun watching.

Posted by: csason at August 15, 2008 02:44 PM

Eu dont pensam que ele importou a Duane o que ele usava. Forme wasnt alguma vez na sua mente em absoluto, e toda esta conversação de moda o deixaria louco. Ele preocupou-se com uma coisa, jogando isto violão Gibson! "Jogue toda a noite!"
Lamentação em Skydog.. Lamentação em sou um Estudante de troca de russo de visita e amo Skydog! Estarei tomando todos os Irmãos Allman cds em casa comigo.
