The whole thing only took about 15 minutes, but my polling spot is out on HW31, 30 miles from Arcadia...that was just what I expected.

My voting went smoothly also. I came to the poll in the late morning and there was one machine that had crashed or something and the line was backed up, so I ran some errands and came back a couple hours later and was in and out in a few minutes.
Here's something funny: somebody running for a state office was with the Blue Enigma Party. Anybody heard of that? I was tempted to vote for them just on the basis of such a cool party name, but good sense prevailed. Blue Enigma... isn't that a great name for a band, or a song? Or a spy, or a car, or maybe a drink?

In my experience, guilt is not nearly so strong a motivator (in any situation, politics especially) as some would like to believe. People are very rarely guilted into doing anything really important, even if they have every reason to feel guilty.

I don't see how it matters how many people on this globe are white. Is there some special merit in being white ? And even if there were, would having been born in a white family be something to claim credit for ? I care not for the world's ambitions, but I am pre-disposed by birth to protect my family, my hearth and my community it seems..and when I hear of people who have no real accurate conception of who I am, and the host I represent..*yet* they talk of using more social engineering to *correct me*, I take it seriously.

I'll bet I have three times the friends and acquaintances of color and differing nationalities
than 90% of the people I meet..and brother, I live in the demographically enhanced portion of America..nothing like New Hampshire..Florida has nearly twenty cities in the top violent 100, according to City Data...and EVERYONE of those friends know exactly how and why I feel the way I do, and don't fault me for it.
