A future guitar legend looking dangerous in black shoes.
Wail on, Skydog!
Yeah.. but Gregg is flashing Starla..obviously.
Wonder what yon young Skydog has behind his back.. Could it be a Corcidan bottle ???
You know..Donnah, I hadn't even thought about
locating and selling those little black brogans
on the Bay, but I thank you for the suggestion.

Somebody should tell Gregg he has just wasted a flash. He didn't turn my head before, he ain't turning it now.
(Now you know how it must have been for the Tarleton twins trying to compete for Scarlett's attention.)
My compliments to Starla on her good taste in passing on ole Gregg. He got lucky. To win Starla, you gotta make your own luck.

On a personal note, this picture is eerily similar to what my younger brother and I looked like back then growing up in Florida. And all I got is four chords and the truth. Somebody tie me back on the whipping post.
Posted by: Paco Malo at November 5, 2008 10:07 AMI am going to really show my age now.....I think was taken by one of those photographers that would come to your house and take the pics. They were kinda like encyclopedia salesman. They would hit the neighborhood and all the housewifes would get on the phone to their friends and low and behold....the photo guy would be taken pics all day. Oh and I think this one would have been done in Tennesse not Florida.....just going by their ages. Yep....Duane looked like a sneeky little booger even at this age. Lord help Momma A.....she had her hands full with him!;>
Thank you Donnah another Wednesday pearl.
Wail on, Skydog! You little cutie patootie!
Posted by: cindy at November 5, 2008 11:16 AMI believe it was Paco, lo those many moons ago, who first said it, so I'll give him the credit and requote him:
"Isn't he just so adorable you want to hug him?"
Amen to that. And I'm not known for being fod of kids either.
How sweet is this picture!
Posted by: Beatrice P at November 5, 2008 02:11 PMThis is certainly a Tennessee shot.. All of mine from this age were shirtless.

I have more, but I am worried about Starla..so I better not.
Posted by: csason at November 5, 2008 03:44 PMDuane was kind of a big kid..oh it just appears that way cause his shorts are so high. Wail on
Posted by: Baron Thoma at November 5, 2008 06:45 PMDangerous black shoes, waistband dangerously close to the armpits...
Posted by: Donnah at November 5, 2008 11:03 PMNah, Duane wasnt a big kid, just older than Gregg! Im of the notion that it took both Allman Brothers to make the ABB.
Dont be hatin on little bro..Duane would kick you in the teeth!!! They used to fight alot, but Duane always had his little brother's back.(No matter what.) He mentored and basically was his father figure after their dad was tragically murdered by a hitchhiker.
There's not much of an age difference between them though, just a bit ove ra year, if I remember. They're what they call Irish twins.
My boyfriend has two younger brothers and when they're all together they bicker and snipe and hurl insults thick and fast. But they still would take a bullet for each other... if they don't shoot each other first. lol
Me, I'm the only child, but grew up smack in the middle of a crew of cousins. Talk about scrapping!
nobody's hating on Gregg.. He is and was a hell of a writer, musician..and he was guitarist before Duane..
We are all just interested in Starla and the flash deally thingy stuff.
Posted by: csason at November 7, 2008 04:12 PMWhat Owen said. Even Starla isn't hating on Gregg; I'm only saying, if they asked me out for successive nights, I'll accept both invites, but very likely only one of them would get a good-night kiss. The other would have to settle for a smile and a sincere thank-you.
Posted by: Starlett O'Hara at November 7, 2008 05:40 PMman..
I have had two Youtube vids pulled for copyright infringement of ABB songs..
I guess SOMEONE is more concerned with their ego, than having their tunes spread around.
Kind of stupid if you ask me..I'd be taking any free advertising I could get..fine. I'll just use
Eric Clapton songs from now on.
