And always with that GUITAR in his hands! :)

I've been looking at your great pics of Duane for some time now but this is the first time I've posted here. I thought it appropriate since today would be Duane's 62nd birthday if we were lucky enough to still have him around!

Thanks Donnah for all the great pics!

Is it really? *googles birthdate* Yep, you're right! *sigh* Forever young, forever beautiful, right?
Welcome aboard, Lisa! I think you'll like it here.

Thanks! I'm sure I will.

And forever young forever beautiful -- so so true!

The blue light was my baby.
My ax glowed gold as I held her heart to mine.

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young."

{Damn it Twiggs, I told you to adjust the strap so that the ring was below my collar bone}

Okay, this is gonna make me sound woefully ignorant, but knowledge is power, right? Okay:
Mike: What's that last part of your post mean? Is it sound effects? Guitar tabs, and if so, what song?

Posted by: Starla Darling at November 21, 2008 01:01 PM

Gee, Thanks Paco.

And I really like the way the "ripped & tangled" Robert Johnson lines applied perfectly to the picture of our guy up there. Cool.

Guitar tabs, and if so, what song....

Well, gang, I'll likely be gone before this week's Duane pic is posted. I'm off to WV to do the turkey thing with Dustin's family. So...
Happy T-day, everyone! One of you will have to do my swooning and sighing over the pic for me, if I'm not here to do it. Cindy...Donnah...Owen, would you like to try? :)
See y'all later! Eat pumpkin pie for peace, since peaches aren't in season.
