A festive red and green Duane wassailing.

And via Doug Drake in e-mail, links to some fascinating reading material.
Sorry for the delay, Doug; I'm not in that account much.

Colorful and great picture Donnah! Thanks! Really have wondered if the guitar in question is authentic? If it was I would guess Derek or Eric Clapton or even Gregg might buy it. He must be asking a fortune for it as its been for sale for months. Really interesting read though. Donnah, if i had your email address I could send you lots of Duane links and pictures.

Because I'm disabled I spend too much time on the computer. tv sucks these days big time.

Anyway, hope the Easter bunny is good to y;all! Maybe you will get a new cd in your Easter Basket.

And also please remember the real reason for Easter. (He has Risen) God Bless and Play the Blues!

And the article on Eric remembering Duane is rare. He seldom has allowed any info out in regards to their relationship. I love his remark about him "kinda falling in love with Duane and having a musical affair with him in front of everybody."

Now, folks if that dont get you interested enough to click on the link Donnah put under this wks picture nothing will!

Wail on Skydog, Wail on!

More channeling of the cosmos through those fingers into our collective souls.

A great two weeks Donnah, all my praise.

Peace to all,

Paco

Seeing this picture of Duane makes me think of a red headed girl I dated when I was in college. Her name was Diane Whitley. The night we went out she wore a yellow blouse and a green skirt. It was like I was dating a traffic light.

It was a joy to read the Clapton interview. I always knew Eric had that in him. Wail On!! and try to find all the Easter eggs before Spring is over.

Poor Diane, now forever and for always marked in the minds of many as the Human Traffic Light. lol Willard, did you give any thought to the symbolism of dating somebody who simultaneously projected Go, Stop, and Go Slow?
This is a great pic, but an awfully loud shirt. I suppose it was in style back then...
Happy Easter, and Willard, I'll make sure that dumb rabbit doesn't put your chocolate treats where the sun will melt them.
Oh, by the way: had my first Florida Cracker dream last night! Sad to say, it did not involve our Man of the Day. Happy to say, it did involve Donnah:
I dreamed Donnah lived down the street from me, (I lived in town in the dream) and I would take a walk around the block every evening adn stop at her curb because she had four kittens living in the bushes right up next to the curb. And one of the kittens was really friendly and always was first to greet me. And Donnah said I could take him home if I wanted him, and I said "Well, I'll ask Dustin but I'm sure it'll be fine." And the dream ended and I was so happy!
He wasn't a very cute kitten, beige and brown stripes, but his friendliness made up for it, and I think the dream illustrates Donnah's kindness and generosity really well.
So thanks Donnah, for the great pic and the sweet kitten. :)

Ditto to Mike's comment:
:OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Must have been really hot that day! I have never seen this shirt in color....hunter green. Never pictured Duane being into that color. But he does wear it well. Thank you Donnah. Another nice one. Happy Easter to one and all. I will remember Shiela.

Wail on, Skydog!

Once again thank you Donnah for providing for us week in and week out a glimpse to the past. A glimpse to pure genius if I may say. Again you made my crappy week a little brighter..I loved the interview and still want to see a sit down video of Eric talking about Duane. As well as some more Duane footage. Either way Happy Easter and Wail on!!

That guitar is priceless -- a million would be a bargain.

What I don't get is why they're selling it at all when it evidently means so much to them.
It can't be dire financial need since what are the chances of somebody actually paying a million for it? And quickly?

Thank you for the great picture and accomanying ( -5 spelling) articles. Always sweet to hit this sight and see the 'new' pictures of Brother Duane.
We were lucky to see him on few ( 2) occaisions here on the left coast way back when. Woulda payed better attention. Great show with him and Elvin Bishop @ Winterland.

The 59 Tobacco Burst maybe.. but not the GT.

850 tops.

Posted by: csason at April 13, 2009 10:32 AM

There are many people who probably would pay the
mill for his GT, but since they are in that position, they will offer 850..or less.
