Today Is International Talk Like A Dead Pirate Day

Join me in giving a hearty "Huh?," "What the?" and "Aargh!" in honor of this special day:

U.S. Navy forces today freed an American sea captain being held by pirates off the coast of Somalia, killing three pirates and taking a fourth into custody in the process, the Pentagon confirmed. The captain was unharmed in the rescue.

"It's outstanding news," Adm. Greg Smith of Central Command said. "We got the captain back, which is the outcome we wanted to see happen, his safe and secure return."

Smith said Capt. Richard Phillips of the cargo ship Maersk Alabama was rescued in a brief firefight with three hostage-takers, who "died as a consequence of their own actions.'"

A safe and secure return for the captain and a safe and secure deadness for the pirates. Perfect.

Now we should send (Somalia) Al Qaida a cartoon entitled "The Last Drink" in a Parody of Easter and the risen Christ. Or better yet, Just tell them the joke about how Americans know when the men have matured in there neck (pun intended) of the woods. Answer: When they take the diaper off their ass and wrap it around their head. Yo ho ho and a bottle of scum. I wonder if Obama will apologize for making "Waves." lmao. The new wave band called “The exploding Heads.” lmao

Unrelated to the dead pirate story but nonetheless newsworthy to the Cracker bunch, I saw this today. A story I had never heard:

"ROBERT Plant nearly got beaten up the first time he played in the US with Led Zeppelin -- and by none other than Allman Brothers legend Duane Allman. "Robert Plant starts running all over the stage with his velvet pants on, and we were all looking at each other, [like] 'What the [bleep] is this?' " Allman drummer Butch Trucks tells next month's Relix, "It was as much about the ballet and the costumes as about the music, if not more so . . . Duane got up and said, 'I'm either going to go up there and kick the [bleep] out of that guy or we're leaving.' And we all got up and left. It just infuri ated Duane. He was so let down by one of his gods."

It's amazing to think of how it went down from the captain's perspective.

The window smashes and his three captors crumple to the ground - two of them at the hatch and the third with the AK-47 pointed at him. Probably couldn't even hear the gunshots.

Then it's quiet. Alone, tied up, on a small boat with three dead pirates. Took a few minutes for the SEALS to row over and free him. Must have been an agonzing wait. Way to hang tough, captain.

Just to be clear: It's amazing to think of how it went down from the captain's perspective.

Sorry for the multipost.

Tell you what, right after the captain tried to escape over the side of the boat, I was very sure he had blown his chances and was going to be punished bad for it. He is very very lucky.

Yeah.. and you can bet the Somali form of punishment does not resemble the other 'regular' forms of punishment..THAT'S for sure..

Anything related to machetes and fingers is probably
near it.

Every pirate should get a burial at sea. Including those who have died.
