My sister keeps contacting me expressing interest in this case.
Pilar was a 4-year old girl who disappeared in 1999 from Punta Gorda, the city just north of my hometown. She was with her babysitter and the babysitter's boyfriend at the time. Law enforcement suspect the boyfriend, but have never been able to make a case or find the body. The boyfriend is a former step-son of the deceased brother of my deceased brother-in-law and is well-known to some members of my family. A few months ago, at the behest of my sister, a family member contacted Crimestoppers about conversations heard. Pilar's case has been reopened and homicide detectives have paid a call. I hope Pilar's remains are found and that whoever harmed her is punished:

A lot more of these cases could be solved if more people relayed conversations "heard".
The truth is that most normal people stick out like a sore thumb..and vice versa.. in my opinion.
We have become so PC we can't function.
After working in the hospital for as long as I did, I could spot the frequent flyer's and 'I'ma SUE you' crew a mile away.
I can also spot a freak in a crowd..although they avoid crowds..so they are not usually there.
When I was a kid, we knew who the weirdos were, and they generally stayed fairly well hidden..but now that it's ok for Miley and Brittney to share their cootchie with us, of course..it's more ok for the child rapists and such to walk freely amongst us..I guess most people just think they are gay or something..oopps..
Might get charged with a hate crime for that.
